BRAND NEW WEBSITE
Realizing that chronic
halitosis diagnosis and treatment deserves its own place in Cyberspace, we
have launched the Official Halimeter Website
http://www.halimeter.com
The Halimeter site features
all the latest stuff on this instrument, along with calibration and operation
tips.
Very soon, there will be
links to our Halimeter dentists, and related technical sites.
Surf on over.

COOL SOFTWARE TO TRY OUT
Ever since Microsoft featured
it in one of its newsletters, it's been difficult to get on WinAbility.Com's
website
http://www.winability.com/home/
But continue trying. It's
worth it. The company manufactures utility software for Windows.
If you keep lots of windows
open, you'll like StepUp98, especially the MicroDesk feature.
Drop over to The Free Site,
home of the Web's best freebies. Here you'll find counters, digital postcards,
fonts, games, and graphics, among many other things.
http://www.thefreesite.com/
They call themselves "The
Ultimate Collection of Winsock Software," and they probably are.
http://www.tucows.com/
TUCOWS is your place on
the Web to access the latest and greatest Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows
3.1, Macintosh and OS/2 Internet Software, performance rated and checked
for viruses.

THE TUNNEL MASTERS
Yes, that's us!! Interscan
CO monitoring systems have recently been installed in Boston's Prudential
and Ted Williams tunnels.
And, we just got the order
for the Route 9A tunnel reconstruction project's CO system. This one is in
lower Manhattan.
Tunnel applications can
be tricky. For further information, e-mail Richard Shaw---- rick@gasdetection.com

THE PLC MASTER
We're happy to report that
Jeff Riley, one of the top PLC programmers and controls engineers we've ever
found, is working with us again--as a free-lancer. This is a great arrangement,
since we get the services of a PLC genius, while he can also work on multi-million
dollar machines elsewhere. Jeff is truly a wiz, and has never met a machine
that he can't program.
If you've got a system
integration application--with or without an Interscan sensor--you'll want
to get Jeff involved.

BIG PROBLEMS WITH PLASMA
STERILIZATION OR THE RETURN OF ETHYLENE OXIDE
Sound the death knell for
plasma!! The FDA has issued a nationwide warning against the use of "Abtox" Plazlyte
Sterilization system.
Sure, we sell ethylene
oxide monitoring systems, and have a slight axe to grind, but we've been
saying for years that plasma doesn't work. Guess what. It doesn't. The FDA
is going after Abtox, who has initiated a worldwide recall on the Sterilizer.
Expect Johnson & Johnson
to do the same with their Sterrad unit.
Read all about it at
http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/ANSWERS/ANS00860.html
We've already started seeing
an upswing in orders for ethylene oxide monitoring systems.
Nobody's got more experience
in this application. For more information-- e-mail EtO@gasdetection.com
