DATA ACQUISITION WITH THE
NOMAD
Get ready for a way cool
new product. The Nomad Data logger.
A first glance, the Nomad
looks like a 6 inch (152 mm) piece of a stainless steel pipe. But, enclosed
in that piece of pipe is a powerful, self-contained, and easy to use data
logger.
You can adjust the sampling
rate from once per second to once every 10 hours--in 1 second intervals.
So, with a capacity of 16336 readings, you can store a lot of data! Expect
the internal battery to last an incredible 5 years.
Software, of course, is
included, that lets you look at a data dump, or a time-history graph. The
Nomad will convert, store, and display engineering units--set via the software.
And, you can upload the files to a spreadsheet program, if you like.
Separate models are available
for 0-100 mV; 4-20mA; and temperature inputs.
The Nomad is priced at
$575.00, but I'm sure if you mention that you saw this article, Rick will
make you a hot deal!!

THE COOL SITES AND THE
INDUSTRY LINKS
For the uninitiated, Mike's
cool sites are at
http://www.gasdetection.com/cool.html
and our industry links
are at
http://www.gasdetection.com/indlinks.html
We need your help and advice
in both places.
Surely, there are dozens
(perhaps thousands) of you in cyber-land, who have some great suggestions
for more both pages. And, most importantly, although we have "robots" searching
for us, tell us about links that don't work.

SYSTEMS THE WAY YOU WANT
THEM!!
With so many instrument
companies being bought out, or biting the dust, it's getting much more difficult
for the potential customer to find a total system solution.
What if you need to monitor
gases that require sensors from three different manufactures? Who's going
to put it together?
In the old days, and if
the job were big enough, you could go to someone like United Controls. These
days, if the job is really huge--I mean in the millions of dollars--you can
still find a packager.
But, what if you're talking
about a $25,000-$250,000 project??
Search all you want, and
you'll come up empty--except for Interscan.
Let us "take away the pain.." Send
us your requirements.

HOLIDAY CHEER
What if you need something
during those last two weeks of the year?
Many companies are short-staffed
or closed completely. At Interscan, we may be a bit relaxed at this time,
but there will still be people here to help you. So don't be shy! If you
need us, call us.
And, from all of us to
all of you, best wishes for the holidays.
